What Else is New?

Was Marty Schottenheimer coaching this game?  Because the playcalling SUCKED, as usual.  Where was the reverse?  Where was the halfback option?  Where were the TDs?  Where the *%($ was the DEFENSE?!?

I swear, they looked like they did at the beginning of the season when they sucked.  What happened?  How much did they pay you Norv to throw the game?  3 INTs of Brady (like I predicted, thank you very much) and FG after FG after FG.  Wow, just like last year.  Amazing.

What the heck was wrong with LaDainian Tomlinson?  Come on!! Philip Rivers had a worse injury and he was in for the ENTIRE game, pain and all.  Three little plays and the former MVP can’t play anymore?  Put on a brace, give him a shot, and put him in the game.  Even Antonio Gates made some plays in his painful effort.  What were you waiting for?  The Super Bowl?!?  Well, I suppose now, LT, you can go home and rest up until next August.

Way to go Drayton Florence, Quentin Jammer, and Antonio Cromartie for your INTs.  Way to go Luis Castillo for your sack.  Way to go Chris Chambers and Vincent Jackson for your clutch catches (but no TDs.)  Way to go Darren Sproles for making a strong EFFORT today.  Aside from that, the horrible play calling, the mediocre running game by Michael Turner, and the complete LACK of the heart, soul, and character that the Bolts had the past 8 games.  Just like last year.

What irritates me is that they HAD the lead.  They had the defense in the beginning of the game.  They had ball control.  Then they just rolled over and played dead…AGAIN!  They could have done it…could have knocked off the classless Patriots and made history themselves.  But NO.  Again.  I’m frankly sick to death of it.

Needless to say I’m extremely upset, and, frankly, could really care less about the Super Bowl, let alone the NFC Championship Game.  Maybe I’ll plan a movie marathon for February 10th.  Who knows?

What I do know is that I will continue to update my dear readers about Chargers-related news and information, but if you’re looking for any sort of in-depth playoff insight, go elsewhere.
