March is Officially National Arthroscopic Surgery Month

Well, at least in San Diego…or so it seems.

Shawne Merriman had his troublesome knee scoped last week and is looking at a 4-6 week rehab period.

Marcus McNeill elected to go the shoulder route, with his surgery last week too; however, as he doesn’t typically walk on his hands (at least I hope not…he’s a VERY big guy!), his recovery period should only be a month.

Jamal Williams, who underwent some dual-knee scoping toward the end of last season, will likely have them both looked at again; but no date has been set as of yet.

Starting FB Andrew Pinnock (in the wake of Lorenzo Neal’s departure) joined the “party” with surgery on one of his knees.

Finally, Nick Hardwick underwent toe surgery this month as well.

In any case, and in every case, I wish them all the speediest of recoveries.

I’d rather have it in the month of March than say…July-January
