With the 2008 mini camp in the books, the general consensus among the Chargers was that it was a success. The players enjoyed entertaining the fans, with Antonio Cromartie’s INT of Philip Rivers (keep it up Cro….especially against the Colts and Patriots later this season), Chris Chambers tackling of Cromartie, and Vincent Jackson’s long reception from Rivers.
Additionally, who knew that the multi-talented Cromartie is also a KR/PR? With Darren Sproles and Buster Davis handling the majority of those functions - in addition to Chargers’ #1 pick Antoine Cason sharing the load, it is nice to know Cro is available if needed.

(Ahhhh, reminiscing!!)
The Chargers’ newest acquisitions have been thrown into the fire as well. In addition to Cason, Jacob Hester and Marcus Thomas drew praise from coaches and teammats alike.
Eric Weddle, entering his 2nd NFL season and obtained by the Chargers after giving up several draft picks, is excited about his new starting role opposite fellow safety Clinton Hart. Weddle says, “I wish I would have started last year. It didn’t happen, but it’s my time now and I’m going to make the most of it.” Well said! (Note to self: purchase Weddle jersey for collection on eBay.)

Finally, in addition to Weddle - Rivers, Matt Wilhelm, Nate Kaeding, Igor Olshansky, and Quentin Jammer all welcomed new additions to their families. Congratulations guys! And please visit my eBay store or contact me for unique handmade baby/toddler quilt sets.
