Long snapper David Binn has signed a 4-year contract extension to keep him in San Diego through the 2011 season. As the premier long snapper in the league, mortal enemy Bill Belichick selected Binn for the 2007 Pro bowl, stating that said Binn was the “AFC’s ‘need’ player.”
Binn is entering his 15th season; all of them with the Chargers. In fact, he will tie Dan Fouts for the most seasons as a Chargers record.
Last season, Binn broke Junior Seau’s and Russ Washington’s “games as a Charger” record with 201.

Nice to see that some players remain loyal in this age of money hungry sports primadonnas.
