While dining at Capone’s in Huntington Beach, CA, Ken Hunter, a long-time Chargers fan began to choke on his meal, when lo and behold, perennial good guy and future hall of fame Kansas City TE Tony Gonzalez, who was dining with his family, performed the Heimlich maneuer and saved the choking Hunter (who, needless to say, was beyond thankful to the star TE.)  Gonzalez claimed he was never actually trained, but had seen the maneuver performed.  All I can say is I’m glad things worked out well, because despite the good samaritan laws in existence, there is still quite the plethora of unfounded lawsuits (I should know, I was a process server in San Diego for 7 years!)

Now, I have always had a lot of respect for Gonzalez (he was on one of my fantasy teams last year) as he is never in the news for doing stupid things like, oh, any Oakland Raider; however, Hunter, who plans on going to the Chiefs/Chargers game in San Diego later this year will be rooting for Gonzalez.  I suppose that’s allowed, considering the circumstances.

Well done Tony!!  By the way, if you are in the market for a custom quilt set for your new baby daughter (congrats, by the way!), drop me a line and I’d be happy to chat with you about it!!
