Former Chargers’ safety and Texas A&M alumnus Terrence Kiel was killed in an automobile accident on 4 July after slamming his 2004 Chevrolet Monte Carlo into a wall at “a high rate of speed” after leaving a party at former teammate Stephen Cooper’s house in the Scripps Ranch area of San Diego.
Kiel was cut from the Chargers in February 2007 after pleading guilty to felony and misdemeanor drug charges for sending codeine-based cough syrup to Texas. Prior to that Kiel had other run-ins with the law.
My heartfelt sympathy to his friends and family for their loss.
