Halftime Update Cowgirls @ Chargers

First of all, I’m very impressed with the running game sans LT thus far.  Darren Sproles and rookies Mike Tolbert and Jacob Hester all scored in the first half, illustrating the tremendous depth San Diego has on the ground.  The rest of the team looked decent for a first preseason game.  The DST was hot, with Brandon Siler’s FF, Quentin Jammer’s INT, and sacks by Carlos Polk and Marques Harris.  Oh, did I mention this was in the first HALF?? (I’m a tad excited.)  Obviously Nate Kaeding’s calf injury isn’t that severe as witnessed by his 53-yd FG in the 2nd quarter.

So, could this be a (very) early Super Bowl preview?  Tony Romo is being touted by Jamie Dukes as the messiah for 2009, so let’s hope Jessica Simpson attends several games this year (although I do have Romo on one of my fantasy teams.)  Rookie RB Felix Jones (another fantasy draft pick for me) looked fantastic as well.

Anyway, I’m just hoping for a speedy recovery for all currently-injured Bolts (Antonio Gates, Vincent Jackson, Luis Castillo) and a productive preseason to pave the way for a fantastic regular season.

And as I’ve been editing this, Hester scored a 2nd TD thanks to a pass interference call on Adam “Pacman/should never have been reinstated to the NFL” Jones.
