Player Spotlight - Craig “Buster” Davis

1.  Born 2 October 1985 in New Orleans, LA.

2.  1st pick of the Chargers in the 2007 draft (#30 overall) out of LSU.

3.  Has taken his WR/PR prowess to the big leagues, contributing very well in both aspects for the Chargers.

4.  Loves baseball (Padres??) and lettered in high school.

5.  Gained valuable rookie experience after a season-ending injury to Eric Parker last season.  2007 stats were impressive:  20 rec. for 188 yds, 1 TD (9.4 yds/catch).  He also managed 8.7 yds per return as well.

6.  It’s really difficult to find his jersey on eBay except those atrocious, cheap Asian knock-offs.  So if you’re looking for a #84 jersey, I’d suggest the Chargers team shop at Qualcomm, on nfl.com, or at Sports Authority in San Diego.

Davis is highly respected on the team, with both coaches and teammates speaking highly of his speed, size, and work ethic.  I, personally, am looking forward to great things from him this season.

San Diego has so much offensive depth, from LT to Gates to WRs Chambers/Jackson/Davis/Naanee/Osgood/Floyd to Sproles/Tolbert/Hester to Manumaleuna.  Incredible.  Any of these guys are dangerous and defenses cannot cover them all.  Should be a GREAT season!  Good luck guys!

Lets hope Buster has a break out year. He’s another weapon for Rivers!
