From Fan to Skeptic, Week 12 Pre-Game Report

Colts (6-4) at Chargers (4-6)

If I were still optimistic, I’d remind you that the Chargers have won the past 3 meetings vs. Indy (including playoffs), and lead the series 15-9 (also including playoffs.)  I’d remind you of Peyton Manning’s 6 INTs last year (3 by Antonio Cromartie), as well as Darren Sproles’ PR and KR for TDs.

But I’m not.  After the Chargers’ narrow loss to Pittsburgh last week (WAAAAY too many narrow ones this year), I think all of my fandom has been slowly drained over the season, and there are still at least 6 games remaining.

Perhaps if I flood my posts with negativity and pessimism I might effect just the opposite.  Maybe if I resign myself to the fact that we cannot have an offense AND a defense this season in the same game, I might get surprised.

But, dear Chargers fans, one thing is certain.  At least we know when our team is doing poorly.  We know what needs to be fixed.  We don’t tease, harass, attack, bother, beleaguer, persecute, intimidate, or annoy others who like other teams, inflating our deficient self-worth by reducing others’.  We don’t parade around and laugh, snicker, guffaw, or chortle how great our team is when it leads the league in dropped passes (cough, ahem, ack, Donkeys, hack).  We have class (most of the time anyway.)

GO CHARGERS!!! (hopefully)
