Texans’ TE Owen Daniels will be headed to his first Pro Bowl next month after Antonio Gates begged out of the game due to his ongoing injury.
Those of you who read my blog know I am terribly infatuated with Daniels, and wish him a big Congratulations. And for Gates, rehab that ankle so you are [...]
After the media allegedly skewed comments made by Chargers GM A.J. Smith regarding LaDainian Tomlinson’s future with the organization, Smith called LT in Tampa this week in an attempt to clear up the confusion. Stressing “misinformation and speculation”, it appears both sides are open-minded and positive … at least for now.

After an abysmal 6-26 in his past two seasons, Chiefs’ head coach Herm Edwards has been sacked (pun intended.) Despite rumors that Shanahan may be off to Kansas City, apparently they are just that - rumors. I’ve read articles attesting to the fact that the Chiefs organization hasn’t even contacted Shanahan to that he may [...]
What a completely boring and sloppily-played game. But, nevertheless, Pittsburgh emerged victorious and will meet the Cardinals in the Super Bowl in 2 weeks.
If the Steelers play like they just did, Arizona will have no problems at all. Let’s just hope the referee crew calling the game is pre-aware of Pittsburgh’s predeliction to dirty plays [...]
Great article at chargers.com regarding what the Chargers need to do to get over the playoff hump that has hampered the team the past 3 seasons. Among the options, taking a good hard look at which players/coaches would likely help the team (Darren Sproles is #1 on my list) and which may be nearing the [...]
Great game Cardinals!! Way to beat the chronically overrated Donovan McNabb!

Chargers 24 , Steelers 35
San Diego must have listened to everyone picking the Steelers because it looked like they bought into the whole bullcrap “Steelers mystique.” For a team that thoroughly dominated the Colts last week and winning 5 in a row up to this point, they looked like they did for the first 12 weeks [...]
On page 30, there is a great article about the Chargers “road to redemption” and the fabulous game vs. Indianapolis last weekend. The article focuses upon Philip Rivers and how his on-field persona is nothing like his true self - a quiet, devout Catholic, country boy who met his wife, Tiffany, in the 8th grade. [...]
This is pretty funny. It is comment #10 at http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/rumors/post/Job-of-Steelers-offense-Don-t-blow-it-for-defen?urn=nfl,133002

So, I was watching NFL Replay for the 3rd time this morning because I can’t seem to get enough of watching the Chargers beat the Colts and wanted to know if anyone else noticed that during the overtime coin flip, when the Chargers won the toss, Jamal Williams exclaimed, “Game over!” Now, THERE’s some confidence [...]
