Chargers 24, Raiders 16
The Chargers now hold the longest current winning streak against one team in the entire league; however, the game was a bit too close for my comfort.  But a win is a win is a win.  Right Donkey fans?!  Oh, wait, the Donkeys LOST to the Ravens.  HOORAY!!!  Now the Chargers are only [...]

…is still better than the 1-3 from last season (wherein, may I remind you, that the Chargers ended up winning the division…)
Steelers 38, Chargers 28
I have to admit that I didn’t really expect San Diego to win with all of the trouble they’ve had in Pittsburgh and I had written off the game at halftime; [...]

Chargers 17, Cardinals 6
Fun game, great seats!  Check out the pics…
The first string looked great (except for Philip Rivers’ 4 sacks by an impressive Cardinals’ defense.)  Rivers managed 5-7, 116 yds. Actually, Billy Volek looked awesome (I’m still asserting that he play in Pittsburgh!) LaDainian Tomlinson and Darren Sproles played much of the first quarter again [...]

I’d like to know what idiot leaked the “news” that the Chargers put Antonio Cromartie on the block to go after Drayton Florence.  Come on, Florence was released for a reason, and why would one even think that Cro might be on the outs after one subpar season?  The guy was hurt all year (rumors [...]

Colts (6-4) at Chargers (4-6)
If I were still optimistic, I’d remind you that the Chargers have won the past 3 meetings vs. Indy (including playoffs), and lead the series 15-9 (also including playoffs.)  I’d remind you of Peyton Manning’s 6 INTs last year (3 by Antonio Cromartie), as well as Darren Sproles’ PR and KR [...]

(Andover, MA) — October 28, 2008 — San Diego star cornerback Antonio Cromartie is hosting an online raffle at www.netraffle.org [...]

I just read an interesting stat of which I was unaware.  Antonio Gates leads all tight ends with 4 TDs so far this season.  (I have him in one fantasy league and he hasn’t been racking up the points as usual so I didn’t think he was doing that well.)
Anyway, both teams had high expectations [...]

We all know what happened the last time these two teams met, and NFL Network was kind enough to re-air the AFC Championship game from January, so let’s not go there.
Instead, I will attempt to find something positive about my beloved Chargers with which to fill this blog in the hopes that some good karma [...]

“Character and resiliency”…

…is what Norv Turner answered when asked what he believes the team’s strengths are right now in his press conference following the upset win by Miami last week.  Character, yes, I have repeatedly argued that.  But the resiliency doesn’t seem to be there as it was last season when the Bolts started out 1-3, made [...]

Well isn’t this a cheery little factoid:  the Dolphins have beaten the Chargers the past 6 meetings, and lead the series 11-10.  Also, Chad Pennington is 3-0 vs. San Diego (of course, that was with the Jets) and has yet to throw an INT vs. the Bolts (hey Cromartie, Hart, Jammer, Weddle….you listening?!?!)
During their last meeting, 11 [...]
