Chargers 14, Seahawks 20
First of all, I have to say I was annoyed with the Seattle announcers whom I had to listen to the entire game…come on, guys, read a team roster and get your players right!!
Secondly, the game was quite a yawner. LaDainian Tomlinson did play for about half of the first quarter and was [...]
The desperate (3-5) Chargers host the even more desperate (1-7) Chiefs Sunday in what is a must-win for San Diego to remain one game behind the Broncos who were LUCKY to win Thursday night vs. Cleveland after the Browns appeared to run out of steam in the 4th quarter (sound familiar anyone??) This is the [...]
San Diego (3-3) at Buffalo (4-1)
San Diego looks to get its first winning record of the season when it travels to Buffalo Sunday. Trent Edwards is expected to play after suffering a concussion vs. the Cardinals 2 weeks ago. Lucky for him, the Bills had a bye last week, and Buffalo is undefeated following a bye [...]
We all know what happened the last time these two teams met, and NFL Network was kind enough to re-air the AFC Championship game from January, so let’s not go there.
Instead, I will attempt to find something positive about my beloved Chargers with which to fill this blog in the hopes that some good karma [...]
…is what Norv Turner answered when asked what he believes the team’s strengths are right now in his press conference following the upset win by Miami last week. Character, yes, I have repeatedly argued that. But the resiliency doesn’t seem to be there as it was last season when the Bolts started out 1-3, made [...]
Well isn’t this a cheery little factoid: the Dolphins have beaten the Chargers the past 6 meetings, and lead the series 11-10. Also, Chad Pennington is 3-0 vs. San Diego (of course, that was with the Jets) and has yet to throw an INT vs. the Bolts (hey Cromartie, Hart, Jammer, Weddle….you listening?!?!)
During their last meeting, 11 [...]

Chargers 48, Jets 29
Who else enjoyed watching Brett Favre get sacked 3 times and intercepted thrice??!! Particularly after listening to the horrid announcers that are MNF rave about Favre this and Favre that….ack, puke!! At least, unlike Dan Dierdorf and Troy Aikman (who, in my opinion have no business calling any more games since neither of them [...]

1. Born 2 October 1985 in New Orleans, LA.
2. 1st pick of the Chargers in the 2007 draft (#30 overall) out of LSU.
3. Has taken his WR/PR prowess to the big leagues, contributing very well in both aspects for the Chargers.
4. Loves baseball (Padres??) and lettered in high school.
5. Gained valuable rookie experience after a season-ending [...]
Friday ushered in what is known in San Diego as “Christmas in July” - or the start of training camp. Of course, expectations were sky high, as the team won its division the last 3 or 4 years, and barely missed 2 trips to the Super Bowl as a result of the Cheatriots, er Patriots [...]
With the 2008 mini camp in the books, the general consensus among the Chargers was that it was a success. The players enjoyed entertaining the fans, with Antonio Cromartie’s INT of Philip Rivers (keep it up Cro….especially against the Colts and Patriots later this season), Chris Chambers tackling of Cromartie, and Vincent Jackson’s long reception [...]
