With respect to LaDainian Tomlinson, anyway, that there hasn’t been any publicized progress, or lack thereof, in the whole contract negotiation thing seems to bode well for LT staying in San Diego; however, neither LT or AJ Smith are saying much.
Free Agency:
The Chargers were relatively quiet over the first day of free agency, but they [...]

On page 30, there is a great article about the Chargers “road to redemption” and the fabulous game vs. Indianapolis last weekend.  The article focuses upon Philip Rivers and how his on-field persona is nothing like his true self - a quiet, devout Catholic, country boy who met his wife, Tiffany, in the 8th grade.  [...]

Next weekend the Chargers will return to the city in which they recorded the biggest win in franchise history. Their 1994 AFC Championship Game upset of the Steelers allowed the Bolts to advance to the club’s only Super Bowl appearance. - chargers.com
The Chargers are happy with the extra day of rest this week.  On Friday, the team [...]

Chargers 23, Colts 17 (OT)
How bout them Chargers!?!!!  What a fabulous game culminating with an amazing ending!!  The Chargers, once again, defeated the Colts in the playoffs, advancing to the divisional playoffs at Pittsburgh next Sunday afternoon.
I was there….the electricity was phenomenal and the crowd was the loudest I have heard in my 15 years of [...]

…”That was easy.”
Chargers 34 , Raiders 7
With this win, the Chargers now own the current longest winning streak against one team (Oakland) at 11 games.
It was nice to see both the offense and defense show up and actually play.  Now if we can only get the special teams to join the party.  Giving up that 92-yd kickoff [...]

Chargers 16, Falcons 22
Yet again, the Chargers defense came up short (except for Eric Weddle’s fumble recovery TD…congrats!!); however, this time the offiense and special teams were flat and virtually non-existent as well.  For the first time this season, Philip Rivers failed to toss a TD at home.  I can see if the team was [...]

San Diego (3-3) at Buffalo (4-1)
San Diego looks to get its first winning record of the season when it travels to Buffalo Sunday.  Trent Edwards is expected to play after suffering a concussion vs. the Cardinals 2 weeks ago.  Lucky for him, the Bills had a bye last week, and Buffalo is undefeated following a bye [...]

Ted Cottrell is worthless.  How does a defensive coordinator take one of the top 3 defenses in the league and reduce them to nothing against the rush and fraught with penalties against the pass?  While I’m on the topic, Norv Turner’s playcalling is very reminiscent of Marty-ball.  First down…run.  Second down…run.  Third and long…obvious pass [...]

Here it is!  The big game (so far anyway.)
Interestingly, both games are a rematch from Week 2 this season.  Green Bay beat New York 35-13, and New England beat San Diego 38-14.
I was watching Gameday on NFL Network this morning.  Trent Dilfer was illustrating the injury to Philip Rivers’ knee and how it may affect his [...]

Chargers 28, Colts 24 - Chargers advance to the AFC Championship Game!!
I love the following picture:

OMG!!!  I will try to type a coherent post right now with my bruised palms, sore throat and headache, but I DON’T CARE!!
WOO HOO!!!  Beating the reigning Super Bowl CHUMPS twice this year, wow.  And with the horrible officiating by [...]
