Finally giving in to repeated requests to visit a local water park, Norv Turner cancelled Thursday morning practice and meetings and loaded the team onto a bus en route to Knott’s Soak City in Chula Vista, CA.

Stepping in for the minorly-injured Marcus McNeill against the Cowboys last weekend, newly-signed 10-year veteran OT L.J. Shelton proved a great acquisition to an already talent-laden Chargers team.  McNeill’s “stinger” is considered minor, and Shelton proved his worth protecting Philip Rivers’ blind side.

QB Philip Rivers said his knee felt good after his impressive Saturday start against Dallas; 5-for-6, 54 yds, and both drives culminating with Chargers TDs.   Even Norv Turner expressed his satisfaction with Rivers’ amazing comeback.

Following the 2nd play sack of Philip Rivers, he said his knee felt fine, allowing Chargers fans to breathe a collective sigh.  In fact, it’s almost as if he didn’t undergo surgery for his torn ACL in the off-season. Yay!!
