First of all, who else is sick to death of Peyton and Eli Manning commercials? Every other freaking commercial on NFL Network, ESPN, and even during the Olympics on NBC is the Mannings. Enough already!!!
Secondly, Cardinal stud WR Anquan Boldin is very unhappy in Arizona and is requesting a trade. (As I just wrote a […]

As part of the NFL’s rookie orientation, each team has scheduled a trip to Canton, OH to visit the NFL Hall of Fame. The Chargers visited last Saturday, after watching the Padres play the Cleveland Indians. For many of these young players, it was an opportunity to revisit the past, particularly since the majority of […]
According to nfl.com, here are the Top 10 Draft Trades in History:
1. 1985 - The 49ers trade up for Jerry Rice. (I highly agree with this one.)
2. 1999 - The Rams trade 2nd and 5th round draft picks to Indianapolis for Marshall Faulk. (As a SDSU alumnus, high fives all around for this one as well.)
3. 1987 - […]

The Chargers are finished pursuing stadium talks with the city of San Diego due to city attorney Mike Aguirre’s apparent ‘issues.’ Being an election year, some wonder whether talks may resume since Aguirre has some fierce competition running against him.
According to the Chargers’ Mark Fabiani, the answer is a resounding “No.” They are continuing to […]

Here’s an interesting little tidbit.
To summarize, Senator Arlen Specter has spoken to Roger Goodell about the whole “Spygate” incident. Primarily, Specter’s goal was to ascertain why Goodell acted so quickly, destroying tapes and imposing sanctions upon the Patriots. Apparently, Belichick has been illegally taping teams since 2000, when he became New England’s head coach.
Goodell said […]

Pro Bowl
Both Antonio Gates and Jamal Williams will miss this Sunday’s Pro Bowl due to injuries sustained toward the end of the season; Gates’ toe and Williams’ ankle. They will be replaced by Cleveland’s Kellen Winslow, Jr. and Pittsburgh’s Casey Hampton.

Was Marty Schottenheimer coaching this game? Because the playcalling SUCKED, as usual. Where was the reverse? Where was the halfback option? Where were the TDs? Where the *%($ was the DEFENSE?!?
I swear, they looked like they did at the beginning of the season when they sucked. What happened? How much did they pay you Norv […]

Here it is! The big game (so far anyway.)
Interestingly, both games are a rematch from Week 2 this season. Green Bay beat New York 35-13, and New England beat San Diego 38-14.
I was watching Gameday on NFL Network this morning. Trent Dilfer was illustrating the injury to Philip Rivers’ knee and how it may affect his […]

Everyone knows the Chargers have a lot of injured stars; hopefully, however, everyone on this list will be A-O.K. to play Sunday in what, so far, is the biggest game of the season for San Diego. Yes, the playoffs are important, and yes, they’ve done exceptionally well thus far. But winning the AFC Championship is […]
…Terrell Owens, for his teary-eyed post-game interview, real tears and all. For a WR who managed a paltry 4 catches for 49 yds (oh and a TD), he sure has a LOT to say. Actually, Tony Romo spent a lot of time on the podium too. (So, apparently Jessica Simpson wasn’t in attendance. Oh well; […]
