The Chargers are finished pursuing stadium talks with the city of San Diego due to city attorney Mike Aguirre’s apparent  ‘issues.’  Being an election year, some wonder whether talks may resume since Aguirre has some fierce competition running against him.

Here’s an interesting little tidbit.
To summarize, Senator Arlen Specter has spoken to Roger Goodell about the whole “Spygate” incident.  Primarily, Specter’s goal was to ascertain why Goodell acted so quickly, destroying tapes and imposing sanctions upon the Patriots.  Apparently, Belichick has been illegally taping teams since 2000, when he became New England’s head coach.

Both Antonio Gates and Jamal Williams will miss this Sunday’s Pro Bowl due to injuries sustained toward the end of the season; Gates’ toe and Williams’ ankle.  They will be replaced by Cleveland’s Kellen Winslow, Jr. and Pittsburgh’s Casey Hampton.
