While this game wasn’t a nailbiter (although, seriously, what preseason games really are?), the Chargers showed some real defensive prowess.
Marc Bulger was intercepted on his first two drives - by CBs Cletus Gordon and Antoine Cason. Additionally DT Lamar Divens and LB Jyles Tucker each forced a fumble. LB Tim Dobbins and Tucker were each […]
Chargers 31, Cowboys 17
Following the 2nd play sack of Philip Rivers, he said his knee felt fine, allowing Chargers fans to breathe a collective sigh. In fact, it’s almost as if he didn’t undergo surgery for his torn ACL in the off-season. Yay!!

Please pardon the interruption mid blog here: I’m watching the Olympics and […]

Chargers 28, Colts 24 - Chargers advance to the AFC Championship Game!!
I love the following picture:
OMG!!! I will try to type a coherent post right now with my bruised palms, sore throat and headache, but I DON’T CARE!!
WOO HOO!!! Beating the reigning Super Bowl CHUMPS twice this year, wow. And with the horrible officiating by […]

I will start by cutting to the chase - to the meat of the upcoming matchup Sunday - which is, the Colts struggle against 3-4 defenses, one the Chargers utilize very, very successfully. Particularly with Shawne “Sackmaster” Merriman on one end and Shaun Phillips on the other, the Chargers’ defense is quite adept at collapsing […]

As I’m still not over last year’s playoff game, I will not subject you to a painful rehashing of what occurred.

Chargers 23, Titans 17
What an unbelievable game, my pulse is still racing!
Let me begin by proposing that Tennessee’s “LP Field” be renamed “LT Field”….think that’ll fly? And it appears that Vince Young has fallen prey to the “Madden Curse.”
I have to admit, I was rapidly losing faith in the 2nd quarter, and had really lost it […]
O.K. Revenge time boys. Last season, in the Chargers’ impressive 14-2 season, their only two losses were to Baltimore and Kansas City, with the Ravens upsetting the Bolts in the final 3 minutes of the their game, 16-13.
This season, neither team is performing as expected. Two of the league’s best DSTs from last year are […]
Chargers 17, Jaguars 24
What happened to the awesome DST from last week?
David Garrard entered this game after a 3-game injury absence with no INTs all season, a situation (Chargers fans would think) prime for another steller performance by the Chargers’ defense. Unfortunately, there were several missed opportunities for INTs. But this season has been just that for San […]

In this day and age of “me me me” players, it’s nice to see a cohesive team who genuinely respects each other. As is the case of the Chargers special teams. Actually, the entire team is like that, with no “superstars” taking the spotlight or complaining about not seeing enough action. Really, here is a […]
